INTRODUCTION FOR RIGGING, SLINGING & SIGNALMAN TRAINING

This training course is designed to equip participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to safely and effectively perform rigging, slinging, and signalling tasks in lifting operations. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical exercises to ensure participants are well-prepared for real-world scenarios.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course, participants will:

  1. Understand the principles of rigging and slinging, including equipment selection and inspection.
  2. Calculate load weight, centre of gravity, and sling angles to ensure safe lifting operations.
  3. Identify hazards and implement control measures to minimize risks.
  4. Master the use of hand and voice signals for effective communication with crane operators.
  5. Perform rigging and signalling tasks safely and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

WHO MUST ATTEND

This course is ideal for:

  1. Construction and industrial workers involved in lifting operations.
  2. Riggers, crane operators, and supervisors.
  3. Individuals seeking certification in rigging and signalling.
