WHERE IS OTC TRAINING CENTRE SDN BHD LOCATED?

We are in Selangor, Penang and Johor. Nevertheless, we extend our training services throughout Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak.

HOW CAN I REQUEST TRAINING FROM OTC?

ARE OTC PROGRAMS ACCREDITED?

Yes, OTC provides accredited programs under the Energy Commission, including Energy Management Fundamentals for Industries & Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) for 8 CDP Points.

DOES OTC PROVIDE COMPETENCY TRAINING (FORKLIFT, FIRST AID, OVERHEAD CRANE, REACH TRUCK, ETC,.)?

Yes, OTC offers Competency training, and participants receive a competency badge upon successful completion of the training and passing the test.

2. HRD CORP

ARE OTC TRAINING PROGRAMS CLAIMABLE FROM HRD CORP (HRDC)?

HRD Corp (HRDC) Claimable Courses

All OTC training programs are claimable to HRD Corp (HRDC), with no direct payment required by the employer, provided it does not exceed the maximum claimable amount.

HOW TO CLAIM THE TRAINING FEES FROM HRD CORP (HRDC)?

Procedure:
Apply grant via e-TRiS system (Attach the quotation/invoice, training schedule, course content and trainer profile)
Once approved & training is successfully conducted, apply for claim (Attach any receipts or invoices)

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CLAIM AMOUNT FROM HRD CORP?

Face to Face In-House: RM 6000 per day, per company

Face to Face Public: RM 1300 per day, per pax

Online In-House: RM 6000 per day, per company

Online Public: RM 700 per day, per pax

WHAT ALLOWANCE ARE CLAIMABLE FROM HRD CORP?

[SBL Khas] Your company may claim meal allowance, daily allowance, consumable training materials, hotel rental package or training rental place, airfare or transportation and Internet Data Cost for up to RM 100 per group (remote online training only) with a minimum duration of four (4) hours).

IF WE TRAVEL TO THE TRAINING LOCATION BY FLIGHT, IS THE AIR FARE CLAIMABLE?

Yes, airfare or transportation can be claimed.

3. TYPES OF TRAINING

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TRAINING OFFERED BY OTC?

Remote Online Training: Training conducted virtually using online platforms (ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet).

Face to face training: Training conducted at your premise or function rooms.

 

In-house training: Participants from one company or several subsidiaries, conducted at client’s premise or external location

Public training: Participants from multiple companies, conducted at external location (conference rooms or function rooms, etc)

5. CUSTOMIZATION

DOES OTC ALLOW CUSTOMIZATION OF TRAINING?

Absolutely, you may discuss customization with our sales personnel to cater to your company/department needs with no additional charges incurred.

6. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS / INFORMATION

CAN THE TRAINER CONDUCT THE TRAINING IN MALAY / CHINESE?

You may inform us of the teaching language requested, and we shall find the right trainer for you.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE TO ATTEND TRAINING?

Casual attire.

WHAT TO BRING DURING TRAINING?

It depends on the type of training; some may require bringing a laptop, calculator, drawings, or documents for discussion with the trainer.

WILL PARTICIPANTS BE PROVIDED WITH THE TRAINING NOTES?

Face-to-face training: Hard copy training notes provided.

Online training: Soft copy training notes provided

WILL THE TRAINING HAVE PRE AND POST-TEST?

Pre and post test will be provided to participants by default, except for soft skills training. The test result will be sent to your company not more than 2 weeks after the training.

Additional: Pre test will be conducted before training starts, and post test will be conducted after training ends.

FOR TRAINING THAT REQUIRES SOFTWARE INSTALLATION SUCH AS MICROSOFT POWER BI, MINITAB, SPSS, ETC., WILL OTC PROVIDE THE SOFTWARE TO DOWNLOAD?

We will provide link for trial run version to download the software.

HOW TO CHECK TRAINER’S AVAILABILITY?

Kindly inform our sales personnel if you have any preferred dates to conduct the training and we shall update the trainer’s free date.

WILL THERE BE ANY CHARGES IF MY COMPANY WOULD LIKE TO CONDUCT TRAINING ON WEEKENDS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS?

No, there shall be no additional charges.

Additional:

We shall send the training reminder 2 / 3 days before the training.

7. PRICE/ DISCOUNT / PROMOTIONS

WHAT IS THE PAYMENT TERM?

ARE THERE ANY PROMOTIONS OR DISCOUNTS?

Register 3 Participants From your company and get the 4th participant for free.

The promotion expiry date for each programmes differs. For more information on the exact expiry date of the promotion, feel free to check with our sales personnel. OTC Training Centre Sdn Bhd may at any time in its sole and absolute discretion withdraw, amend and/or alter the terms and conditions of the stated promotions without prior notice.

8. RENTAL

DOES OTC PROVIDE FUNCTION ROOM RENTAL (OTC OFFICE / HOTEL FUNCTION ROOM / SEMINAR ROOM)?

Yes, we do. Kindly inform our sales personnel if you would like to conduct the training outside of your premise.

DOES OTC PROVIDE EQUIPMENT RENTALS SUCH AS LAPTOP OR FORKLIFT RENTALS?

Yes, kindly inform our sales personnel and the pricing will be included in the quotation.

9. POST-TRAINING

WILL THE PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE?

Yes, certificates will be couriered within 2 weeks after face-to-face training and e-certificates will be sent the next day for remote online training.

WHAT IS THE VALIDITY FOR COMPETENCY BADGE?

2 years for forklift/overhead crane, reach truck, etc.

3 years for first aid & CPR

CAN I REQUEST FOR REPLACEMENT OF COMPETENCY BADGE AND CERTIFICATE IF THEY GO MISSING OR DAMAGED?

Yes, you may inform us to provide a replacement, valid only 1 time without payment. 

CAN WE ASK QUESTIONS FROM TRAINER AFTER TRAINING ENDS?

Absolutely, we provide post training consultancy for up to 3 months after training.

CAN I LIST THE TRAINING PROGRAMS ON MY RESUME OR LINKEDIN PROFILE?

Absolutely.

CAN INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS ENROL IN YOUR TRAINING PROGRAMS?
