INTRODUCTION FOR KIKEN YOCHI TRAINING (KYT)

The philosophy of the Zero-accident Campaign is to respect human life. Specific safety methods developed so that workplaces can take steps on pre-emptive action for safety include hazard prediction training and pointing and calling. Activities incorporating these methods in a unified manner are called hazard prediction activities. What is KikenYochi Technique? K: Kiken (hazard), Y: Yochi (prediction), T: (technique) The KYT Basic 4-Round Method forms the foundation for all these elements. Workers openly discuss the hidden hazards depicted in the illustrations of the workplace and work conditions and solve problems by proceeding through the four rounds step by step.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, the participant will be able to:

  • State the definition of Zero Accident Campaign.
  • Demonstrate techniques in KY Health and 1-minute meditation.
  • Demonstrate Finger Pointing and Calling Exercise.
  • Perform 4 Round of KYT.
  • Present individual action plan in implementing KYT at the workplace.

Engineers, Supervisors, Line Leaders and any relevant personnel of organization are who are responsible for the Occupational Safety & Health Management and continuous implementation of a environmentally safe and sound of work environment through their daily operation.
