The aim of this module is to understand the key steps in stakeholder management. Following through with these steps will help you effectively address the requirements of your stakeholders and keep them satisfied.
The most important step is to identify stakeholders of your project. You can start by listing down anyone and everyone who is affected by the project.
You don’t need to worry about assigning them a category yet; simply jot down their name or their company to specify. Stakeholders who you should take into consideration are those
- Who will be affected (positively and negatively) by your project
- Who has an interest in your project
- Who has power over your project
- Who wants your project to fail
- Who wants your project to be successful

MODULE 6: 10 KEY PRINCIPLES OF STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Stakeholder engagement and stakeholder management are arguably the most important ingredients for successful project delivery, and yet are often regarded as a fringe activity or one that can be outsourced to business-as-usual functions. Project managers depend on people to respond to the outputs and benefits that they deliver. People will only respond if they are engaged.
The phrase “stakeholder management” implies that these people can be made to respond positively to a project, but the truth is that a project manager frequently has no formal power of authority and therefore has to rely on engagement to achieve his/her objectives. The ’10 Key Principles’ was devfeloped to provide better understand and overall comprehension in stakeholders management effectiveness.

MODULE 7: 7 TACTICS TO MAINTAIN POSITIVE STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS
Once you start considering every single person who could be a stakeholder and then their extended network, the list starts to feel overwhelmingly big. You see, a stakeholder is anyone that is impacted by your organisation or has an influence over it – and that can be a lot of people. So, an effective stakeholder relationship management strategy is essential.
Maintaining positive stakeholder relationships helps groups work together more effectively and enables more holistic decision-making. If you get the stakeholder engagement process right, then your stakeholders might become champions of your project. They will be more accepting of your decisions and might even help you deliver positive outcomes.
However, if you fail at communicating with stakeholders, you could encounter unnecessary project costs and major delays. Stakeholder resistance is a major risk so it’s essential to get your engagement strategy right.
