INTRODUCTION FOR APPRECIATION OF WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION
Often, warehouse has been perceived as an activity based centre which involved much physical then mental. As time goes by, roles of warehouse has been enhanced and become more importance comparatively. Moreover, with the introduction of J.I.T concept, VMI and 3PL strategies, Warehouse Management become more competitive. Greater demands are being placed in adding value, providing better services and higher efficiency with lower risks and costs in the warehouse management towards customer satisfaction.
What are some of the techniques and knowledge that can be explored in order to achieve the common goal of an organization? How do organizations create and form an effective warehouse management?
This program will highlight the importance of warehouse management in the total Supply Chain Management (SCM), at the same time explore the activities involved in warehouse operation. It is structured to equip the participants with an overview of warehouse operation and stimulate more effective practices in the manufacturing industries through promoting self-competitiveness.
