What is CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to a company’s commitment to contribute to sustainable economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce, local communities, and society at large. For OTC Training Centre, CSR is more than just a business practice—it’s an essential value that reflects our dedication to helping those in need, protecting the environment, and fostering positive societal change. Through initiatives like Charity Day, we aim to make a lasting impact by supporting causes that matter to our community. At OTC Training Centre Sdn Bhd, we believe in giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most. In line with this commitment, we recently organized a Charity Day to support several remarkable organizations that dedicate themselves to caring for children and the elderly in need. 1. Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Yee Ran Jing Sheh
Yee Ran Jing Sheh is a compassionate organization that focuses on the welfare of disabled children. They provide a safe and nurturing environment where children receive not only necessary care but also education and life skills training. Walking through their halls, you can feel the warmth of dedication and hope in every corner.
2. Glory Everise Home
Glory Everise Home is a haven for elderly individuals who may not have family support. Here, residents are treated like family, with caregivers who are dedicated to providing companionship and assistance.
3. Pusat Jagaan Sinar Ceria
Pusat Jagaan Sinar Ceria is a bright spot in the community, focusing on providing shelter and care for those who are less fortunate. Their mission is all about creating a cheerful environment for children and adults alike.
4. Shine Home Association Bukit Mertajam Penang
Shine Home Association stands out with its focus on the welfare of orphaned and abandoned children. The association provides not only shelter but also an environment full of love and education.
5. Ci Yun (慈云·能贤关怀之家)
Ci Yun offers much-needed support to individuals going through tough times, including the elderly, disabled, and those coping with mental health issues. Their approach is all about inclusion and understanding.
Activities and Contributions
During our visits, the OTC team engaged in meaningful activities, including:
- Donations: We provided essential supplies such as food, clothing, and hygiene products to support the daily needs of each institution.
