Introduced just recently, as in the year of 2022, the National Human Capital Conference & Exhibition (NHCCE) has become one of the most prestigious events held by the HRD Corp. For this year, NHCCE 2023, the event was held in two different regions, The North region, and the Borneo region. Particularly for Northern region, as stated by HRD Corp, the event was to show appreciation and support to more than 13,000 registered employers and over 730,000 employees in the region. Organized in partnership with the Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC), the NHCCE 2023 – Northern Region was held in Penang from 31 May to 1 June 2023 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Bayan Lepas. HRD Corp took this opportunity to discuss further about the future of human resource development. Themed ‘HR 5.0: Evolution in Human Resource Development’, NHCCE 2023 – Northern Region discussed about the five key topics that aim to equip leaders, industry players, senior management, HR practitioners, and working professionals with the skills and knowledge to champion the implementation of human capital transformation initiatives in their respective organizations. The idea is that to prepare employers and employees to take on the wave of changes that may be able to make differences in the field of human resources.

The event took place at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang, with over 700 participants, 20 renowned speakers, and 50 exhibitors. It also featured deep dive discussions across five (5) Plenary Tracks. Spanning for two days, HRD Corp took the opportunity to slot in as much entertainment as possible for the attendees. To have a memorable finale, HRD Corp organized the Appreciation Night. The main purpose of this event is to appreciate the organizations that have been supporting the growth of HRD Corp. The awards include the HRD Corp Award for the Small and Medium Enterprise, HRD Corp Award for Large Enterprise across the Manufacturing, Service and Mining & Quarrying Sectors, as well as HRD Corp Award for Training Providers.

OTC Training Centre Sdn Bhd was given the honors of receiving the Appreciation Certificate in the Training Provider category. The certificate was provided as OTC Training Centre Sdn Bhd that has provided support to develop the large and small-medium enterprises human resources. The training centre has been a pioneer in the training provider field from the year 2005, and since then has been trying to become the best in the particular field. Awarded with the HRD Awards, just recently, OTC Training Centre was given another award as a token of appreciation in the amount of contribution they have done.
