    WHERE IS OTC TRAINING CENTRE SDN BHD LOCATED?
    We are in Selangor, Penang and Johor. Nevertheless, we extend our training services throughout Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak.

    ARE THE TRAINING COSTS OF OTC PROGRAMS CLAIMABLE FROM HRD CORP (HRDC)?
    ARE OTC TRAINING PROGRAMS CLAIMABLE FROM HRD CORP (HRDC)?
    Yes. All OTC training programs are claimable under HRD Corp (HRDC), subject to the maximum claimable amount set by HRD Corp.

    There is no upfront payment required by the employer, as OTC will assist in the grant application and claim process.

    HOW TO CLAIM THE TRAINING FEES FROM HRD CORP (HRDC)?

    Procedure:

    1. Apply for a grant via the e-TRiS system (Attach quotation/invoice, training schedule, course content, and trainer profile)
    2. Once approved and training is completed, submit the claim (Attach invoices/receipts and required supporting documents)

    OTC will assist and guide you throughout the entire claim procedure to ensure a smooth process.

     

    WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CLAIM AMOUNT FROM HRD CORP?
    Face-to-Face (In-House): RM 10,500 per day, per group
    Face-to-Face (Public): RM 1,750 per day, per pax
    Online (In-House): RM 10,500 per day, per group
    Online (Public): RM 1,750 per day, per pax

     

    WHAT ALLOWANCES ARE CLAIMABLE FROM HRD CORP?
    Under SBL Khas, your company may claim:

    • Meal allowance
    • Daily allowance
    • Consumable training materials
    • Hotel rental / training venue
    • Airfare or transportation
    • Internet data cost (up to RM 100 per group for remote training, minimum 4 hours)

     

    IF WE TRAVEL TO THE TRAINING LOCATION BY FLIGHT, IS THE AIRFARE CLAIMABLE?
    Yes, airfare or transportation costs are claimable under HRD Corp.

    TYPES OF TRAINING

    WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TRAINING OFFERED BY OTC?

    Remote Online Training: Training conducted virtually using online platforms (ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet).

    All sessions are live and interactive, not pre-recorded videos.

    Face to face training: Training conducted at your premise or function rooms.

    In-house training: Participants from one company or several subsidiaries, conducted at client’s premise or external location.

    Public training: Participants from multiple companies, conducted at external locations (conference rooms or function rooms, etc).

    Hybrid training: a combination of in-person and online learning, offering flexibility for participants to attend some sessions face-to-face and others virtually.

    DOES OTC ALLOW CUSTOMIZATION OF TRAINING?

    Yes, customization is available for in-house training only.

    You may discuss your requirements with our Sales Consultant to tailor the training according to your company or department needs, with no additional charges incurred.

    TRAINING REQUIREMENTS & GUIDELINES

    CAN THE TRAINER CONDUCT THE TRAINING IN MALAY / CHINESE / ENGLISH?
    Yes. Kindly inform us of your preferred training language, and we will arrange a suitable trainer accordingly.

     

    WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE TO ATTEND TRAINING?
    Casual attire is acceptable.

     

    WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR THE TRAINING?
    This depends on the type of training. Participants may be required to bring items such as a laptop, calculator, drawings, or relevant documents for discussion with the trainer.

     

    WILL PARTICIPANTS BE PROVIDED WITH TRAINING NOTES?
    Face-to-face training: Hard copy training notes will be provided
    Online training: Soft copy training notes will be provided

     

    WILL THERE BE PRE- AND POST-TESTS?
    Yes, pre- and post-tests will be provided by default.
    Pre-test: Conducted before the training starts
    Post-test: Conducted after the training ends
    The test results will be shared within 2 weeks after the training.

     

    FOR TRAINING THAT REQUIRES SOFTWARE (E.g., MICROSOFT POWER BI, MINITAB, SPSS), WILL OTC PROVIDE IT?
    We will provide a download link for the trial version of the required software.

     

    HOW CAN I CHECK THE TRAINER’S AVAILABILITY?
    Kindly inform our Sales Consultant of your preferred training dates, and we will check the trainer’s availability for you.

     

    ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR WEEKEND TRAINING?
    No, there are no additional charges for conducting training on weekends.

     

    WILL THERE BE ANY TRAINING REMINDER?
    Yes, a training reminder will be sent 2 days before the training date.

    EARLY BIRD & GROUP PROMOTION

    The Early Bird promotion is applicable for public training programs only.

    Early Bird Deadline:

    FACILITIES & RENTAL SERVICES

    DOES OTC PROVIDE FUNCTION ROOM RENTAL (OTC OFFICE / HOTEL FUNCTION ROOM / SEMINAR ROOM)?
    Yes, we do. Kindly inform our Sales Consultant if you would like to conduct the training outside of your premises, and we will assist in arranging a suitable venue.

     

    DOES OTC PROVIDE EQUIPMENT RENTALS SUCH AS LAPTOP?
    Yes. Kindly inform our Sales Consultant, and the rental cost will be included in the quotation.

    CERTIFICATION & POST-TRAINING SUPPORT

    WILL PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE?
    Yes.
    Face-to-face training: Certificates will be couriered within 2 weeks after training
    Online training: E-certificates will be sent on the next day after training

     

    WHAT IS THE VALIDITY OF THE COMPETENCY BADGE?
    Forklift / Overhead Crane / Reach Truck/ Scissor Lift/ Boom Lift & etc.: 2 years
    First Aid & CPR:
    2-day training: 3 years validity
    1-day First Aid & CPR: 1 year validity

     

    CAN I REQUEST A REPLACEMENT FOR COMPETENCY CARD AND CERTIFICATE IF THEY ARE LOST OR DAMAGED?
    Yes. You may request a replacement. Each participant is entitled to one-time replacement without payment.

     

    CAN WE ASK QUESTIONS FROM THE TRAINER AFTER THE TRAINING ENDS?
    Absolutely. We provide post-training consultancy support for up to 3 months after training, applicable for in-house training only.
