INTRODUCTION FOR REACH TRUCK SAFETY TRAINING

This internal competency program was designed with the initiative to increase awareness of Reach Truack drivers on aspects pertaining to personal safety, surrounding people and the properties while operating the vehicles. This course will also indirectly increase the skill, competency and mental preparation of the Reach Truck drivers.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to :

Operators should be trained to an essential level of skill to work with Reach Truck safely,efficiently and with competence.By the end of the course the operators should state the reasons for operating training and pass a basic operatives skill test.

  • Identify cause and effect of accident and sensitiveness about safety,
  • Identify the character and the functions of reach truck components,
  • Carry out daily inspection safety, performance and preventive maintenance to reduce reach truck repair, and
  • Train reach truck drivers become more cautions, safe and efficient.

WHO MUST ATTEND

  • Supervisor, Maintenance, Storekeeper, Material Handler and employees who are exposed to or work with forklift.

  • Lecture, practical and exam (theory & practical).
