TRAINING OBJECTIVE FOR PURCHASE PART ANALYSIS

The training program was design with the following key objectives of learning to the participants:-

  • Deliver the different technique in evaluating quotation from vendor before purchase
  • Deliver understanding and knowledge on the difference between price and cost analysis
  • Define the term Total Cost of Ownership and how price and cost analysis will determine this Cost Ownership model
  • Bring awareness to participant on Fixed Price contract with Economic Price Adjustment (FP-EPA)
  • Introduce the concept of “Should Costing” mode of evaluating supplier quotation
  • Introduce method of monitoring Forex exchange losses and gain in purchasing
  • Bring in the knowledge in building Purchase price index for monitoring

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the 2 days interactive session, the learning curve achieve will enable the following:-

  • UNDERSTAND the various method to carry out purchasing analysis
  • APPRAISE and DISTINGUISH the different between cost and price analysis
  • DEVELOP plan of action to ensure all suppliers quotation supply all relevant information in order to ease the process of price analysis
  • CONDUCT “Should costing” in evaluating supplier quotation, Purchase price Index, and Forex exchange tabulation.
  • ABLE to determine the right cost to purchase with the Total Cost of Ownership model

  • Total Cost of Ownership – defining the true cost of material
  • Case Study on Total Cost of Ownership
  • Purchase Price Index tabulation
  • FOREX exchange monitoring process for purchasing
  • Evaluation (Test paper)
