Welcome to Leadership in Action: Building a Leadership Foundation for Frontline Leaders—a dynamic two-day workshop designed exclusively for Manufacturing and Production Supervisors stepping into leadership roles. As the demands of the manufacturing floor grow more complex, so too does the need for supervisors who can lead with clarity, confidence, and influence.
This program will equip you with practical tools, real-world strategies, and powerful insights to help you lead teams effectively, manage day-to-day challenges, and drive results with impact. Through engaging activities, thought-provoking case studies, self-assessments like DISC, role plays, and videos from world-renowned leaders —you’ll discover what it truly means to lead from the front.
Be prepared to step out of your comfort zone, collaborate with peers, reflect deeply, and most importantly, grow into the leader your team needs. This is not a lecture—this is leadership in action. Let’s begin your journey.

Module 1: What is Leadership? (9:00 am to 10:30 am)
- Definition of Leadership
- Difference between Leadership and Management
- Types of Leadership: Autocratic, Democratic, Delegative, Transformational, Transactional, Servant Leadership (include Short Video)
- Activities:
- Discussion: What makes a leader inspiring?
- Group Discussion: Define leadership in your own team setting.
Morning Break: 10:30 am to 10:45 am
Module 2: Leading with Emotional Intelligence (10:45 am to 11:45 am)
- What is Emotional Intelligence? (Self-Awareness, Empathy & Social Skills, Managing Situations)
- Statistics about EI at the Workplace
- Activities:
- Individual sharing “Leaders within Yourself (Reflection from School, Work)
- Role Play in Pair: Workplace Conflicts, Guessing the Emotion
Module 3: Understanding the DISC & Leadership Styles (11:30 am to 1:00 pm)
- The Fundamentals of DISC (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness)
- Why understanding the DISC is important for Leaders
- Activities:
- Individuals take a simplified version of DISC Assessment (10 minutes)
- Discuss with a partner on the results of the DISC Assessment
- Group Presentation on the Leadership Style of the DISC

Module 4: Communication & Influence (2:00 pm to 3:30 pm)

- Roles Assigned: Leader, planner, communicator, coordinator.

Module 7: Leading Difficult People & Situations (11:00 am to 12:00 pm)
- Leader is a People Oriented (Jack Ma Video)
- The Introduction to EARS (Empathy, Acknowledge, Reframe, and Setting Boundaries)
- Activities:
- Video Sharing on EARS.
- Role Play: Handling conflict with an underperforming team member or handling pressure from upper management.
- Group Reflection: How did you feel as a leader? What would you do differently?
Module 8: Leaders Appearance and Behaviours (12:00 pm to 1:00 pm)
- Branding and Image (Behavioural, Personal Grooming, Dress Code for Leaders)
- Social Media Guides for Leaders
- Activities:

- Role Play: Work in Pair to practice “Speak Like a Leader”

Module 9: Building the TRUST within the Team (2:00 pm to 3:30 pm)
- What is Trust in an Organization?
- Why Trust is an important element in Leadership?
- How to build trust at the workplace and within the Team?
- Activities:
- Each team will brainstorm the Trust factors within the organization.
- Using sticky notes, the team will position the notes into a Mind Mapping TRUST MAP.
- Each team will share their findings using the World Café Concept.

Module 10: Leadership and Accountability (3:45 pm to 4:30 pm)
