This part of international standard IEC 60335-2-2 Training – Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 2-2 (Vacuum cleaners and water-suction cleaning appliances)

has been prepared by IEC technical committee for household and similar electrical appliances but focus more towards Safety

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

To enhance knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  8. Marking and instructions
  9. Protection against access to live parts
  10. Starting of motor-operated appliances
  11. Power input and current
  12. Heating
  13. Void
  14. Leakage current and electric strength at operating temperature
  15. Transient overvoltages
  16. Moisture resistance
  17. Leakage current and electric strength
  18. Overload protection of transformers and associated circuits
  19. Endurance
  20. Abnormal operation

Afternoon Session: 1.30pm to 5.00pm

  2. Mechanical strength

  6. Supply connection and external flexible cords
  7. Terminals for external conductors
