Course Overview for Export & Import Procedures, Documentation and Compliance Implementation

This intensive 2-day course equips trade, logistics and compliance professionals dealing with Malaysian cross-border shipments with practical skills to manage export/import procedures, documentation, and an operational compliance program aligned to the latest RMCD and government changes in 2025.

Participants will learn step-by-step declaration workflows (including MyCIEDS/e-declaration), correct documentation and HS/valuation practices, permit and origin rules (AP, PCO/ATIGA), duty/tax treatment including the 1 July 2025 SST/ sales tax changes, and how to design robust internal controls, recordkeeping and remediation actions to reduce delays, fines and commercial risks.

Course Objectives

By the end of the two days participants will be able to accurately prepare and manage import/export documentation and declarations, identify and obtain required permits, understand the impact of recent 2025 customs/tax regulatory changes, and implement basic compliance controls and SOPs that reduce customs risk and clearance delays.

Course Outcomes

  • A compliance checklist (risk controls, recordkeeping periods, escalation steps).
  • Two completed hands-on case studies (import valuation issue and export origin claim) that can be adapted to their company workflows.
