· Short circuit protection: Bonding and grounding standards

· Overload protection: Consumer unit (fuses, circuit breakers, MCCB’s, ELCB’s and MCB’s characteristics and application)

· Cables: Types of protection, cable rating and cable sizing

· Lighting circuits: Three methods of adopting wiring lights

· Power sockets: Standard circuits

· Fixed appliances installation requirements

2.00pm MODULE 7: ELECTRICAL BUILDING INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

· Three-Phase installation for:

o Low-rise offices

o Factory premises with and without power sub metres

o High rise offices: Vertical busbar trunking layout

o Commercial multi-storey buildings

o Temporary supplies for buildings

· Central heating wiring diagram

· Extra low-voltage lighting

·  Installation testing

· Laws and requirements

· Prevention methods

· Maintenance practices based on technical specifications
