INTRODUCTION DEALING WITH WORKPLACE BULLYING
There is no simple definition of bullying because it can take many different forms. It occurs in a variety of situations and crosses gender, race, age, and involve one or a number of individuals.
However, workplace bullying has generally been defined as persistent offensive, intimidating, humiliating behaviour, which attempts to undermine an individual or group of employees. Bullying is generally carried out face-to-face but can also occur in writing, by telephone, text messaging, email and on social media.
This course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of workplace bullying—its definition, causes, and the appropriate ways to address it. It is designed to help employees and employers alike recognize the signs of bullying and respond effectively to prevent it from escalating further. The program encourages open discussion and practical learning so that every participant gains the confidence to take positive action when faced with bullying at work.
OBJECTIVES
