INTRODUCTION FOR MACHINERY SAFETY TRAINING
The Machinery Safety & Guarding course is designed to provide the participants with knowledge
of the principles of the machinery according to OSHA 1994 & FMA 1974 (Fencing of Machinery
Safety Regulations 1970) due to use and handling a machine. There are many hazards associated with handling and operating a machine. Unfortunately, any accident associated with machine will probably result in serious damage to equipment, facilities, or injury to personnel. Unguarded or inadequately guarded machinery are a leading cause of
these injuries. In this training we will discuss the hazards of working around machinery, what types of mechanical motion require safeguards and various methods of protection that may prevent
injury or death.
COURSE OBJECTIVES FOR MACHINERY SAFETY TRAINING
At the end of the program delegates will be able to identify the purpose and safe of practice of machinery, identify hazards associated with handling machinery .They will also have an appreciation of the procedures, legislation and safety requirements.
