STRATEGIC & TACTICAL ENERGY SAVINGS FOR COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS

Share:

COURSE OVERVIEW

Commercial buildings are among the largest consumers of energy, often operating with outdated systems, inefficient scheduling, and limited performance monitoring. This intensive two-day course is designed to help you unlock the full energy-saving potential of your facility—without waiting for expensive upgrades.

Participants will explore proven approaches to analyzing building energy use, identifying hidden inefficiencies, and executing practical solutions. The course covers essential topics such as energy profiling, HVAC and lighting optimization, low-cost automation strategies, and performance tracking. Through real-world case studies and structured planning tools, participants will gain both technical insight and strategic frameworks to reduce costs, improve system performance, and align with green building goals.

COURSE  OBJECTIVE

To equip facility managers, building engineers, supervisors and energy officers with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to systematically identify, implement, and sustain energy-saving measures in commercial buildings—balancing low-cost operational improvements with long-term strategic initiatives.

LEARNING OUTCOME

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Analyse energy consumption patterns using benchmark data and facility walk-throughs.
  • Identify quick-win and long-term opportunities for energy savings.
  • Optimize HVAC and lighting systems for efficiency and occupant comfort.
  • Apply automation strategies including scheduling, zoning, and smart controls.
  • Evaluate ROI of retrofit and upgrade projects using practical financial tools.
  • Support compliance with GBI, LEED, and GreenRE requirements.
  • Engage stakeholders to build a culture of energy accountability.
  • Develop a customized 6-month Energy Savings Action Plan for their facility.

WHO SHOULD  ATTEND

Building managers, facilities engineers, FM consultants, energy officers
