SENSOR AND MOTOR BASIC TROUBLE SHOOTING

Share:

OVERVIEW

Most of industry used electrical or electronic machine to operate production and manufacturing process. All electrical and electronic machine consist four basic structures:

  • Input Power Device – To supply voltage and current to overall equipment
  • Controller Unit – To Control operation of equipment
  • Output Device – To generate output process such as :
    1. Motor – To move product from A to B
    2. Heater – To heat element
  • Feedback system – using Sensors to detect and feedback data from output / Input device to Control unit if measurement Input /output result out of specifications.

After 2-5 years, machine will get problems due to part life span and system failure such as:

  • Power device failure
  • Controller unit failure
  • Motor assembly not working
  • Sensor defective

To ensure effectiveness of technical support to production and manufacturing department, technicians should able to perform basic trouble shooting and identify status of device such as sensor and motors.
